Love is truly in the air. Every February, a special day of love is celebrated by lovebirds, families, and friends around the world, who plan their day with pampering sessions, stunning flowers, and romantic dates or celebratory meals. However, did you also know that the entire week before Valentine’s Day is celebrated too? It’s called Valentine’s week!

The Love Week starts on the 7th of February and culminates on the 14th of February, which is popularly celebrated as Valentine’s Day. It is believed that St. Valentine was a priest who united lovers, and was apprehended for the same by the Romans. Since then, Valentine’s Day has always stood for a celebration of love in all its forms.

Feb 7, or Rose Day:

Feb 8, or Propose Day

Proposal Day

This day is the second day of the Valentine’s week. After the first step to wooing your love has been taken, you can proceed by directly proposing to the girl or guy you adore. Be it asking for their hand or presenting them with gifts, this is the right day to express your true feelings.

A traditional proposal is a great idea. Choose the place you first met each other, and go down on one knee to express your undying love. This can be followed by a surprise performance by a band or musician.


Feb 9, or Chocolate Day

Chocolate Day

Like the name suggests, Chocolate Day is all about celebrating love via chocolate. After all, who doesn’t love this sweet aphrodisiac? The cocoa in chocolate is known to contain chemicals which trigger love-stimulating hormones. This is sure to make your loved one feel on top of the world.
You can choose to propose by taking your partner to a Chocolate Bar and indulge them with a delicious fondue, or even bake a Devil’s Food cake at home. If you want to surprise them, you can alternatively order a unique chocolate bouquet, complete with blooms!


Feb 10, or Teddy Day

Teddy Bear

The fourth day of the Valentine’s week is celebrated by gifting loved ones a cute teddy or a bunch of teddies. Regardless of whether your bear is giant-sized or tiny, this is a lovable present for your special someone. Stuffed toys are ideal for decorating bedrooms, and create great memories in the years to come.
